Station 2 opens. It is located at 1525 E. Wintergreen Rd. It was placed in service on December 31, 2008 at 1900 hrs. It houses Engine 2, Medic 702, and Booster 2. August 18, 2008-Congratulations goes to Alan Hanes-Station 1 B, David Werchan-Station 1 A, and Sean Sims-Station 1 C for being the top candidates out of 7 for the Driver/Operator promotional exam. July 10, 2008- Special Thanks to all the Firefighters and the Citizens of Hutchins for making this years MDA drive a success. We raised a total of $6,610.30. Thanks again for the help and support! April 18, 2008- The TCFP grants the Department $11,598.00 for Radio equipment and PPE. View Release here. April 14, 2008- The Department selects Vision Air as its CAD vendor. View press release here. April 7, 2008- The Department receives a grant from The Fireman's Fund for $6,354.00 to be used for PPE and Traffic safety vest's March 4th 2008-***Update on the new Booster**** Here are some pics of the new Booster 2. Possible delivery date March 25th 2008. February 27, 2008: The Department of Homeland Security awarded $948,825.00 under the SAFER (Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response) division. This enables the department to hire 9 additional people to help staff Station 2. |
