2005 News
December 23, 2005-The Hutchins Fire Rescue got in the Christmas Spirit by helping out the
Liberty Heights Community Center in giving out toys to Families in need. The Liberty Heights
Comm Center helps out Families in need in the greater Hutchins, Wilmer, Seagoville, and Sand
Branch.
December 6, 2005-Congratulations goes out to Matt Lehmann, on passing his TCFP state exam.
December 6, 2005-the City of Hutchins has it's Annual Christmas Parade on December 10, 2005
at 10:00 am and the Tree Lighting Ceremonies that evening at 6:00 PM
November 25, 2005-The Hutchins Fire Rescue is proud to welcome on it's newest Full time
Firefighter!! Michael Telford,has just been hired on full time to fill an open "B" shift slot. He currently
works at Children's Dallas On their transport team and will continue to work there in his off days.
Michael is going to start his 2 week orientation period and then move into the 24/48 "B" shift
rotation starting on December 9th. Welcome to the department Mike !!! See Michael's new spot on

November 9, 2005-Engine 2 has made it onto Firehouse.com! Click here to see E2 on the new
apparatus section.
October 18,2005-The city's annual Harvest Fest is coming up on, October 22,2005. Join all of the
city Departments for a day full of free food, drinks, and lot's of FUN!! Stop by the Fire Rescue booth
and meet the HFR staff...we look forward to seeing you there.
October 15, 2005-The Fire Rescue is currently accepting applications for the position of
Firefighter/Paramedic.
October 10, 2005-The Fire Rescue places an order for a new 2006 Chevy Suburban, will be
purchased through HGAC and the Light and Stripe package will be completed through Metro Fire.
August 1, 2005-The city is currently under a burn ban until further notice.
